A little update.....

Well, what a weekend! I guess this all started a few weeks ago. Finlee had an ear infection and they put her on amoxicillan. We gave it to her despite her screaming and thought she was better. Halfway through she got a runny nose and was pretty congested, but thought it was just part of it! Last Friday she had a small fever. We took her back to the doctor and she still had the ear infection in her right ear! She was given another antibiotic and we left. Then it started, late Friday night she began running a high fever. By Saturday morning Tylenol was not working, her fever was 105. We took her to the ER. The doctor looked in her ears and they were both BULGING and AWFUL! She was given a shot and we had to stay there until her fever was gone. However it did not stay gone. That night it spiked again to 105. She kept that fever for four days. We took her back to the doctor for a follow up and another shot. We then was told she had a viral infection as well and the rash appeared as soon as her fever broke! Ears were still awful. She was not responding to the antibiotic. We were sent upstairs to the ENT and they immediately scheduled her for surgery to put tubes in her ears! So tomorrow bright and early we will go. I know that this is the right thing to do! She already is pretty much back to normal acting. She is still tugging hard at her ears and rubbing her head! So much pressure! Hopefully she will be better tomorrow! Man friends of mine whose children have had this have said it is like instant relieve! We shall see! We shall see what the weekend holds. Jolee and I are supposoed to be going to a wedding this weekend, but not sure what we will do! It all depends of my sweet Finney and how she is feeling! Ford has been a trooper through all this ! He just tries his hardest to make his sister laugh! He is such a sweet big brother!!
